File Backup and Sync

As an IT professional, you know the importance of keeping your corporate data safe. The critical task of remote backup can be an expensive and challenging endeavor for large businesses.  MozyEnterprise makes remote backup simple to manage and easy to use. Backed by EMC, Mozy saves you time and money with a simple, secure, and affordable remote backup solution that allows you to focus on your business’ future. You can be up and running in no time, as Mozy gives you the flexibility to deploy and manage multi-user environments from the convenience of a single web-based administrative console.

Enterprise-grade data protection made simple.

Backed by EMC, MozyEnterprise combines enterprise-grade security and controls with best-in-class online backup and recovery.

Encryption: All user data is encrypted locally with military-grade encryption prior to transfer via a 128-bit SSL connection. Users can choose a managed encryption key or a personal key for added security.

Data centers: All data centers employ state-of-the-art security, meet SAS70 standards, are ISO 27001 certified, and where applicable, adhere to European Union Safe Harbor Privacy Principles.

Near continuous data protection: Mozy automatically detects and backs up new and changed files.

Reports: Administrators may set up and run reports regarding the backup health of their account that will be sent automatically to their e-mail address on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Automatic or scheduled backups: Tell MozyPro when to perform your backups. Automatic is the simplest method in which backups are performed, while your computer is not in use. Scheduled backups can be performed daily or weekly at a specified time of day.

Block-level incremental backups: After the initial backup, Mozy only backs up new or changed portions of files, which saves bandwidth and ensures future backups are lightning fast.

Bandwidth throttling: Users can determine how much bandwidth they want to dedicate to their backups so other high-priority services can run unimpeded.

Multiple restore options: Users and administrators can restore data via the Mozy software client, through the web, or by ordering a DVD restore. Windows users can also restore data via right-click or through the Mozy Virtual Drive.

Local backup with Mozy 2xProtect™: Windows users can now backup locally to an external device as well as online to Mozy data centers for double protection.

Improved for Mac: Mozy 2.0 for Mac offers a clean new interface with simple-to-use backup and restore, better file scanning, and a smoother configuration experience.

Why choose Mozy over Carbonite?

Open application backup – MozyPro assures backup for anyone with a database (SQL), Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, or other server applications.  Carbonite lacks open application backup.

Local Backup to USB/Network Drive – If you have a large restore that needs to be completed, it is much quicker to do so if the file resides locally.  MozyPro allows one to have a local backup in addition to sending data offsite.  Carbonite lacks local backup to USB/Network drives.

Full support for OSX – Carbonite offers limited support with their latest release, but you are unable to schedule backups, you cannot exclude certain file types and you are unable to backup or restore versions of files on a Mac.  You can do all of the above with MozyPro.

Continuous data protection – Carbonite only allows you to schedule one backup per 24-hour period.  With MozyPro, you can not only schedule as many backups as you need, you also have the ability to backup a file upon creation or modification.  Many files are accidentally deleted or overwritten that never made it to the nightly backup.

Data shipped via USB/DVD – for customers that have a lot of data and a limited amount of bandwidth, shipping physical media is the only option.  Only MozyPro allows you to do this.
